Two good heads are better than one, undoubtedly. (With the assumption that all the heads have a similar level of goodness?).

And can we all agree that a perfect Bae is the second good head we’d all like to have? Good.

However, for certain reasons at some point, we may have just one good head. We are baeless or in a Long Distance Relationship/Marriage.

In times like this, we must make the best use of our own good head, realise how much of a super hero we could possibly be on our own, and the potential opportunities these could present.

Tee is away on a business trip for the week. And now I’ve gotten over my sadness at not being able to tag along. I mean. Business Trip for him. Free Holiday for me. When there’s free accommodation? Woo Hoo! Count me in! More importantly, I’ve gotten over my sadness that I may have to take the bins out! Arrgh.

But, sad as I may be, I’m looking forward to all the surprises and opportunities this week has in store.

The last time he was away, I shut all the doors and windows and double checked that they were actually shut. I heard a creaking sound and so triple checked. Then I laid on the bed, I got bored. And so,  I started a blog. I  was awake till about 2am, wrote a couple of posts but never published it. But Voila! One of those scribbles 7 months later, made it to this blog, and  has undoubtedly created so much buzz around here. You can feel the buzz here.

There are some things being on your own helps you figure out/achieve.  When I am alone, I (often) wake up earlier (no cuddles), can listen to music real loud (Ear pieces do not stay in my ears. Like never. I’ve given up on using them… and  head phones are way too bulky). I can eat on the bed without upsetting anyone, I can sleep with the lights on!

I still regret not attending the finals of the Super Bowl II debate back in Uni. As a self proclaimed lover of debates and public speaking, I had looked forward to it  so much. But Tee had dropped by, drove quite a long distance and paid a surprise visit. I couldn’t bring myself to actually leave him to attend the debate. Talk about being torn between two worlds. And no, he had no interest in hearing some people regurgitate the words that they had crammed while gesticulating furiously with their hands… Now, if I was single at that time (or he was away), one less regret in my life.

As if I needed any further certainty on this fact. I spoke to the significant other yesterday  morning.

Me: Hey how you doing?
Tee: I’m fine. I’m very fine
Me: You’re very fine??!!?. Like you don’t even miss me or anything?
Tee: *laughter* (as usual, and in this case not quite appreciated). Well I’ve just been doing a lot of work and I’ve been so productive this morning. Needed to be away from distractions and face this work squarely.
Me: Huh. So I’m a distraction? That’s it. This is over!

Naahh. That last line didn’t happen. I chickened out. I take my vows too seriously. And to be honest, I pitied him as well, he takes them much more seriously. He got teary eyed when he was saying his vows to me! Haha!

But you get my point. He maximized his opportunity and achieved a lot more.

So, if you’re young and single, stop getting too distracted  by all those ‘Finding Bae’ and ‘Relationship Goals’ thoughts. It’s okay to get distracted a little. I mean all those ‘perfect’ couples on Instagram!

I know you have plans for you and Bae to take over the world.  But till the Knight appears or till you find that Damsel, maximise the opportunity. You may find out how to take over the world… Gosh, how lucky your Bae will be!

It’s a good thing Valentine’s day is past… Till January next year when the pressure begins to mount again…

What do you guys think? Have you discovered any super hero powers at such times?

Love,

Kachee…Xx

pS: I’ll love to give ideas about how you can take over the world. But search yourself. And see what’s inside.

ppS: My one good head was probably not sufficient to edit properly. So any typos, the fault is entirely mine.

Is it really impossible to actually have time alone to one’s self while in the same house with one’s spouse? If it is almost impossible to be productive while with one’s spouse then why are two heads better than one?I couldn’t agree more about the MUA trend in Nigeria at the moment but we are hustlers you know we all jump blindly into what we see is making others alot of money at a particular time.

No No Kike… It is not impossible to be productive while with one’s spouse. But the message I hope is that even being alone can provide such productive opportunities…

You nailed it Kachee! People, especially ladies should be made aware of thèse things. Now that I am thinking about it, it appears I have accomplished more alone than with Lucci. I mean, 2 heads are better than one I would think, but I totally agree that space is needed to unleash the dragon.
